We are proud to announce that Rublon now enables Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Sophos XG Firewall VPN logins. Users can safely connect to Sophos SSL VPN, Sophos PPTP VPN, Sophos IPsec VPN, Sophos Firewall User Portal, and Sophos Firewall web admin console using Mobile Push, Mobile Passcode (TOTP), and Email Link authentication methods.
How to Enable Multi-Factor Authentication for Sophos XG Firewall?
Check the following step-by-step guide on how to enable MFA for Sophos Firewall VPN (SSL, IPsec, PPTP) on Sophos XG and XGS Firewall Appliances:

How Does the Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication for Sophos XG Firewall VPN Work?
After you install the Rublon Authentication Proxy and add it to the Sophos web admin console, Rublon will enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on Sophos XG VPN logins.
When Rublon MFA is on, login and password are insufficient to connect to Sophos XG VPN. Users must complete a secondary authentication method to connect to the VPN successfully. Thanks to that, hackers who know the user’s password cannot enter the corporate network because they cannot complete the secondary authentication.
Secondary authentication methods include Email Link, Mobile Passcode (TOTP), and Mobile Push.

After completing the secondary authentication method, Rublon allows the user to connect to the VPN. If the user fails to complete the secondary authentication method, Rublon denies access to the VPN.
Apart from MFA for Sophos VPNs, you can also use Rublon to secure Sophos User Portal and Sophos web admin console with MFA.
Want to protect your Sophos Firewall with MFA? Here’s how.
