Today we added a much-desired Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) feature to the Rublon Admin Console’s Administrators tab: Administrator Roles. As of now, administrators with the Owner role can assign roles to other administrators, deciding the privileges of these administrators. The available roles are:
- Owner
- Administrator
- Application Manager
- User Manager
- Help Desk
- Billing
- Read Only
Each role has its privileges pertaining to viewing and managing certain parts of the Rublon Admin Console. For example, administrators with the Read Only role can view applications, users, and phones but cannot manage them (add, edit, delete). In contrast, the Administrator role can both view and manage applications, users, and phones.

Important Changes
Next to adding new roles, we also made the following changes to the existing Owner and Administrator roles:
- An organization can now have more than one Owner.
- The Administrator role can no longer view the Billing tab, nor can an Administrator add, edit, or delete other administrators.
What You Need to Do
If you own an account with the Owner role:
- If your organization only has the Owner and no accounts with the Administrator role, you do not have to do anything.
- If your organization has accounts with the Administrator role, we recommend you review these accounts and decide whether to change the roles of these accounts.
If you own an account with the Administrator role:
- Sign in to the Rublon Admin Console and review your new privileges by going through all tabs in the left pane.
- Contact the owner of your organization if you think your privileges are insufficient.
You can learn more about the specific privileges of each role as well as how to assign roles by studying the following documentation:
