How Does the Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication for Cisco RV340 VPN Work?
After installing the Rublon Authentication Proxy and adding it to the Cisco RV340 admin panel, Rublon will enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Cisco RV340 VPN logins.
When Rublon MFA is enabled, entering a username and password is not enough to connect to the VPN. Users must complete a secondary authentication step in order to connect. This extra layer of security protects organizations from potential hackers. Even if a hacker knows a user’s password, they will not be able to gain access because the secure secondary authentication method will thwart them.
Secondary authentication methods include Email Link, Mobile Passcode (TOTP), and Mobile Push.

If the user fails to complete the secondary authentication method, Rublon will deny them access to the VPN. The user will gain access to the Cisco RV340 VPN only after completing both authentication methods.
