After deploying Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), users who use the WatchGuard Mobile VPN and Mobile VPN with SSL Client clients can now secure their connections by enabling an extra layer of security. This additional layer of protection is a Mobile Push authentication request sent to their mobile device or an Email Link sent to their emails.

How Does the Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication for WatchGuard Mobile VPN Work?
First, an administrator deploys the Rublon Authentication Proxy. Then, the administrator logs in to the WatchGuard Firebox Cloud and configures it for Rublon MFA by adding the Rublon Authentication Proxy as a RADIUS server and enabling it on IPSec and SSL VPNs. That’s it.
When Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication is on, every user who logs in using the WatchGuard Mobile VPN or Mobile VPN with SSL Client client will get a Mobile Push notification or an Email Link on their email.
If the user successfully completes the secondary authentication method, Rublon allows them to connect; however, if the user does not complete the secondary authentication method, Rublon denies access.
