We are thrilled to announce that a big Rublon update is coming. The Usernames update comes with a set of exciting new features and security improvements.
The Usernames update will be released on Wednesday, 09/22/2021.
The Usernames update allows users to manage their mobile devices and WebAuthn/U2F Security Keys in a new Manage Devices view.
Managing Devices Before Usernames
Users could not manage their devices before the Usernames update. Administrators had very limited ways of managing user devices.
Manage All Your Devices on Rublon Prompt
Every user can now manage their authentication devices on the Rublon Prompt.
Clicking the Manage Devices button takes you to a new Manage Devices view.
Manage Devices displays all authentication devices of a user and allows the user to:
- Enroll a new device
- Delete a device
- Rename a device
- Set phone as default
- Activate Rublon Authenticator on a phone that was previously added by an admin in the Rublon Admin Console

Let Your Users Know
If you are an owner or administrator of an organization, refer to How to add your Admin Console account to Rublon Authenticator to learn how the new device enrollment works and what you will have to do on September 22.
Then, inform your users that they will have to enroll their mobile devices again on September 22 when Usernames will be officially released.
To make it easier for you, we created a separate guide. All you need to do is send it to your users:
