Overview

Rublon MFA integrates with Barracuda VPN to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for users logging in to your VPN.

Rublon MFA introduces Two-Factor Authentication in a number of ways.

Enable Entra ID logins to Barracuda VPN using Rublon MFA

If Barracuda VPN authenticates users through LDAP or RADIUS, you can use Rublon Authentication Proxy to validate primary credentials against Microsoft Entra ID and then enforce Rublon MFA. This allows users to sign in to Barracuda VPN with Microsoft Entra ID credentials, even when Barracuda VPN does not support Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect natively.

Before you start

Ensure you have properly configured Barracuda VPN.

Ensure that you have properly set up your authentication source, that is an external Identity Provider (IdP) like FreeRADIUS.

Configuration

You will have to use Rublon Authentication Proxy.

Rublon Authentication Proxy supports the following Authentication Methods: Email Link, Mobile Push, Passcode.

Integrate Barracuda Client-To-Site VPN with Rublon MFA to introduce Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to your VPN logins. You have to install and configure Rublon Authentication Proxy before configuring Rublon 2FA for Barracuda Client-To-Site VPN.
